Tiglio col bene che ti voglio

Symbol of eternal love and long life, thanks to a development that can last hundreds of years and its heart-shaped leaves.

The lime tree for us is above all a memory of summers in the city, a bit like the song Luglio* by Riccardo del Turco, a great Italian classic from the seventies.

A memory of tall trees with dense shade under which to shelter from the heat of long summer afternoons.

A memory of heart-shaped leaves, through which to gaze at rays of sunshine and glimpses of blue skies.

Flowers so fragrant that they become a feature of the street or the square, and that make you say: it's summer now!

This is the time to walk more gently under the trees and take the time to stop and listen to the buzzing of busy bees on the flowers.

The nectar will become precious linden honey, to be used in autumn in evening herbal tea, yet another use for the leaves and flowers of this special plant.

Over the weeks, the development of the seeds brings further transformations. Have you ever seen linden seeds fall? When we were little girls for us it was helicopters for their particular way of falling.

This is where the Tilleul takes its name: from the Greek Ptilon, which means wing

But it's not the time to fly away yet! Now is the time to look around, enjoy the cool shade of roadsides, squares and gardens, and take the time to create yet another memory of another summer in the city.
